Zakiyuddin Baidhawy earned his BA in the comparative study of religion at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (1994), and both his MA (religion and philosophy, 1999) and his PhD (Islamic studies, 2007) at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. He is currently associate professor at the State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga and associate researcher at the Maarif Institute for Culture and Humanity, Jakarta.
His special interests are Islamic studies, religious studies, philosophy, and cross religion and
